Mother's Day Weekend in PA.

I decided to make a trip back to PA for Mother's Day weekend...mostly because my cousin Stephanie was getting married and Nana was coming back for it. I wanted to make sure she got the chance to meet Cameron. It was a whirl wind of a trip. Completely exhausting!

We got in at 11 PM so we could take a direct flight. Less time in the air with a baby equals less opportunity for them to cry. He did pretty well on the flight there. Slept for about an hour and was pretty antsy for the remaining 3, but we made it with few issues. After the long drive back to Oil City we were all pretty tired. It ended up being 3 Am before we got to bed, which seemed to be fine with Cameron because stayed on Vegas time.

Saturday we had Stephanie's wedding so we got to spend the day with the Repasky's. Lots of family came up...people I haven't seen in years and most Cameron has never met. Since his schedule was pretty off, he had not had a nap before the wedding. Of course, just as the ceremony starts he reaches his breaking point and started crying. Luckily he was so tired at that point it didn't last but a minute and he was asleep. He lasted a little while at the reception...then we took the kids over to mom's so we could all go out that night.

There was a big sleep over that night as Donny, Lynn, and the girls came down to stay with us. This is the first time the kids were all together. Cameron was completely taken with the girls. They had so much fun! Over the weekend Ava & Cameron shared binkies, bottles, and toys. Hit & grabbed at each other. Giggled and screamed with each other. Ava walked all over him...there were kisses & hugs. So cute!

Sunday was another crazy day (again less than 6 hours of sleep). We got up in the morning and went to a picture appointment to get photos of the kids together. Then we were headed up to Dad's for Nana's birthday party...she turned the big 89! Following the party we headed down to Grandma Anne's to spend some time with the Holquist's. Then tried packing later that night for the return trip home. Got a couple of videos (below) of Cameron in the middle of the mess distracting us and playing with Grandma Beth.

Monday was our last day in town. We headed up to Titusville to see everyone one last time. Then made the long trip to Pittsburgh for our flight. I was dreading the 4.5 hours in the plane, and realized I had good reason to. Poor Cameron was so exhausted from the trip...being passed around, on the go, and trapped in a car seat...for so long that he had a major meltdown on the plane! He cried and screamed uncontrollably for over 40 minutes. Finally exhausted himself and fell asleep for an hour. Woke up and whined/cried...slept 30 minutes...and ended the trip with lots of whining! There was nothing I could do to console him. He just felt absolutely miserable. Needless to say he slept really well last night when we got home...and today to recover! Now he's back to normal.

Lots of pictures from the trip:

David especially loved this one (Cameron loved the baby):

They climbed on the bear at Papa's house during Nana's birthday.

With Grandma Anne:

Lynn & I with Lisa's kids...and our kids.

Talking to Grandma Barb:

Then we were able to take 5 Generation pictures while at dad's. Nana, Grandma Barb, Dad, Me & Cameron...then one with Lynn, Olivia & Ava.

Cameron got to meet old Eli (17 years old). He took the abuse surprisingly well.

Cameron pressing his face to the glass of the French Door to look at Ava. I wish I had been able to get this as a side shot...it was so funny the two of them looking at each other!

Then a couple of videos in the mess we had going while we were trying to pack.
