Christmas 2010!

Santa came to the Graham house this year. Cameron was up so late the night before because we were at friends for dinner. He ended up sleeping later than we did, which was a first! I had to go in and wake him up. He jumped right out of bed when I told him Santa came.



We had to check out the table because Santa ate his cookies and drank his milk!




Then we went to check out the presents Santa left.





This was the first time Cameron was actually interested in opening presents. We did a webcam with Grandma & Grandpa Graham and Uncle Adam. Then after that did another webcam with Grandma Beth, Aunt Lynn, Olivia & Ava. Everyone wanted to see Cameron open presents. It ended up being all morning for us to get through everything so we were starving by the time we were able to break and eat...it was lunch time!

Opening presents - He was the neatest present opener ever. Kept handing me each little piece of wrapping paper he ripped off and had to clean it all up before he could move on to the next one.

Both Grandma & Grandpa Graham and Grandma Beth bought him recordable books. He has really gotten a kick out of the fact that it's their voice on the book. The funny part is as each page ends you hear the click from when they hit the stop button to stop recording...he thinks it is them making kissing noises to him so he gets to the end of each page and he makes the sound like he's giving a kiss.



Then we had a game of basketball going on. I think the hoop & ball were a hit. This is our future Maverick. Thanks Santa.

Our big news...

Cameron doesn't really understand yet, but he's going to be a big brother. I don't think he will really get it until we bring a baby home and it never leaves. We surprised the family with this news by sending these pictures home to everyone so they could open an envelope with it on Christmas Eve. I think it was a hit...

Christmas card photos...

We had a big photo session to try and get some cute shots for our Christmas cards. Here are the better ones we got. He's such a ham.

After the photo session, I got a nice big sticky candy cane kiss. He was so funny because he handed the camera to David to take a picture. Then came over to me and grabbed my cheeks and gave me a big kiss. He kept doing it over and over and making sure David took every shot. He thought he was so funny. Then Daddy got to tickle him...he still loves the torture of being tickled until he laughs hysterically. When we stop he says "more dad".

Getting Ready for Christmas

I think Cameron was missing Brian Head. He put on his boots and said "I go sledding". I told him there was no snow, but he proceeded to go get the sleds and sit in them with reindeer.

We had to bake cookies for Santa. Cameron had fun...especially at the end licking the icing off a cookie. After he cleaned the cookie off he wanted to put it back on the tray to get another.

He put all of his stuffed animals in timeout. This is the same corner he has to sit in. We laughed at the one video where he's throwing his arms up in the air. I told David I don't do that so he must look like that when he disciplines.

Lots of singing...5 little monkeys jumping on the bed. Still a little performer.

David bought one of those annoying animals that sings & dances. This one was a horse that sings some ghetto sounding Christmas music. Cameron likes to turn it on and sing with it while running or dancing around, "jingle, jangle, holiday rock".

Santa!

Today we went to see Santa! He was at the Bass Pro Shops at Silverton Casino. So of course Cameron and David had to check out the boats and 4-wheelers while we waited.




We had Cameron all prepped in the car so he would be ready to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what he wanted for Christmas.




He actually did pretty good. Walked right up and sat on Santa's lap. No crying like last year. Santa was talking to him trying to get him to talk back. He was a little shy though. At the end Santa gave him a candy cane, which he loved.

Brian Head

Last weekend we rented a cabin in Brian Head...mostly to relax and play in the snow with Cameron. He had so much fun!



The first night we took him over to the bunny slopes after they closed to sled down the hill. We got him all bundled up (he kind of looked like the little boy from a Christmas Story that couldn't put his arms down) and made the drive over with our sleds. David pulled him halfway up the bottom hill and let him go down all on his own. He LOVED it! As soon as you let go you could hear him say "weeee" the whole way down. When he got to the bottom he would say "more mom". I was really bummed because we didn't get good pictures.Mostly because it was so dark...then realized we brought the wrong charger with us so were trying to conserve the battery.

The next day we stayed closer to the cabin and they went sledding down the hill in the drive way out of the woods.

Cameron made his first snow angel.

He also had is first snow ball fight...boy was he mean! Got quite a kick out it.

And more...

So I have realized just how good certain companies are at advertising. Cameron spots the golden arches of McDonald's and immediately says "look mom...happy meal". This child doesn't know what a happy meal is! He also identifies a Taco Bell when we drive by. Now, I will admit we typically grab that when we have fast food because it's so close. But it amazes me how he literally sees the sign and knows what it is. The only other place he recognizes like these is Fresh & Easy, which I know I've talked about before. Still his favorite place.



I'm hoping we are getting closer to potty training readiness. He's had a couple of instances where he's taken his diaper off because he wanted to change it. Last night he came out of his room and stood at the top of the stairs crying. He was saying "nose running" and "diaper" so I went up to see what he was doing. He had his footie pj's unzipped all the way down and his diaper off wrapped around his ankle. It was funny...thank god he hasn't peed on my floor. We're trying potty training right after Christmas since we will be home that week.

In the below picture, he handed David the camera and told him to take a picture...then grabbed my cheeks and planted a bit candy cane, peppermint kiss. He thought it was so funny he kept asking David to take pictures while he did it again.





He still LOVES to be tickled. As soon as you stop he says "more dad". It's like he can't get enough of the torture.
