4 Months Old

Cameron is already 4 months old - hard to believe! Last weekend we had a photographer (friend of a friend) come over and take some pictures. Of course that morning Cameron was his usual smiley, giggly self. However, just as he arrived we were nearing nap time and that causes a major shift in mood.

In spite of the lack of smiles, we did get some cute shots. We loved his journalistic approach to the photos.

About halfway through the session, Cameron got pretty nasty because he was ready for a nap. Most people don't believe me when I say he gets this way...so here's the proof!

Then he took a little 20 minute cat nap and was back up for more shots. We also had to make sure we captured his bald spot. He has gotten so that everytime he lays down he rubs his head from side to side...so no hair exists there anymore. Kind of funny.

Now he's trying really hard to roll over. Below is a video of him trying so hard to do it. His shoulder just gets in the way...and he gets really frustrated until we roll him over...then he's happy again.

Cameron was jumping so hard...the box under him wouldn't stay under his feet. Plus he has to wear a bib because he jumps so hard he pukes & drools all over himself.

The Green Tractor

Apparently Cameron loves that green tractor & going to the farm. He also likes the sound of the fire truck.

Funny Boy

Cameron is starting to put everything in his mouth...including his Daddy's finger. He sat and chewed on David's finger until drool was just running down his hand.

I just thought this one of him sleeping in his Boppy was cute.

Today he got to laughing so hard as I made noises at him. His face was so funny the first time he screamed on the video because he wasn't expecting it to be so loud and he scared himself.

Our Little Jumping Bean

Cameron LOVES to jump. He's really starting to master the jumperoo. Today David said he jumped so hard he fell asleep in it...but he didn't take a picture. We finally got a one of him really smiling though! Isn't he so cute?! I want to just squeeze him.

15 Weeks Old

Cameron is now 15 weeks old. I swear sometimes I look at him and he looks like a little man. I expect him to get up and start walking around. I know that won't be long.

In the last week or so he has really started to discover his hands. They are constantly in his mouth and I fear he is becoming a thumb sucker! The kid won't take a pacifier, but boy can he suck a thumb (or finger). And he's starting to drool like crazy. Aunt Lynn would be really mad if Cameron started teething and got a tooth before Ava.

He is now holding his head completely steady...and even able to hold all his weight on his legs. He loves standing up in my lap to look around. And we're getting closer to mastering this whole sitting thing. We're still working on the eating off a spoon. He does pretty well. That is until today when David tried to feed him green beans for the first time. He only got 2 bites, but after each one he cried bloody murder. Apparently he's not a fan!

Azriel is still jealous and likes to share Mom's lap (and lay on top of me)...lucky for him I can sleep right through it.



I got really daring one day and held my bottle on my own. It only lasted 10 seconds, but it was long enough to get dad's hopes up...and then dash them.



This is me laughing at my Daddy when he talks. He has to hold the camera on the side otherwise I will stop and just stare blankly at it.

Back to the real world

Yesterday was a depressing day because I had to return to the real world. =( Luckily for us, Cameron has been able to stay home with his dad during the day so we haven't had to put him into day care. I think if I had to drop him off at daycare I would have been a mess!

My first day back David wanted to pull his hair out because Cameron cried most of the day. I said it was just because he missed me...but seeing as how he likes to cry a lot these days when he wants attention it probably had nothing to do with me not being there.

Today was much better for them because Cameron got his new toy...well the toy we stole from Ava when we were home (in our defense Ava was done with it and Lynn said she never really cared for it anyways). It got mailed back and so the box arrived today. David pulled it out and emailed me after lunch saying Cameron LOVED it! He layed on floor laughing and screaming for the longest time.

He has also really gotten the hang of eating baby food. We kind of cheated though and gave in to giving him the sweet stuff. He seems to love applesauce & bananas. The squash not so much...carrots were just ok. I guess we need to practice more with the boring veggies though so he won't be picky. It's just the last time we did veggies, I ended up with a carrot shower. Fun!

Fun with Videos

Here are a few new videos. There is one of him sitting up on his own...kind of. He kept leaning really far forward. Then a funny one of him talking to me after he found the camera. Whenever he sees the camera he stops doing whatever he was doing and just stares at it...unless we are playing back one of his videos then he laughs as he hears himself. The next one is him being a screamer this morning. He actually screamed on command. Then one of him making a lot of noise. Finally, one of him fake crying. When I played this one back for him he thought it was so funny.
